OK, so who am I?
I am a 28 year old designer, nature enthusiast & music fanatic from Oceanside, California. I have always had a passion for art and design but only recently did I decide to make a career out of it. Up until a few years ago, computers were mysterious foreign objects to me and I basically wanted nothing to do with them.
While finishing my AA at Palomar College, I decided to take an Intro Photoshop class, just to see if I could handle the whole "computer thing". When I saw first hand what was possible with computer graphics, I was hooked. I then set my sights on Platt College to continue on the path towards a career that I truly love. With help from some good friends, school, and co-workers, I have learned more about computers in a few years than most will learn in a lifetime.
My thirst for knowledge grows exponentially in this digital age, and each day brings new ideas and inspirations. Harnessing the power of the internet allows me to keep up with the new trends and standards within the industry and to keep learning outside of school.
Professional
For the last 7 years, I have worked for H2Odyssey, a diving distributor in Vista, CA. I started out doing shipping/recieving then after a couple years, moved into a desk job, and shortly thereafter started working on sale flyers.
I now have 3+ year of experience in graphic design and web development with the company. I have given the company a "facelift" with a new website, catalogs, sale flyers, promotional materials, & tradeshow displays. This has helped move the company into a new age, where competition is fierce. With the new look, the company has sustained an excellent customer base and increased sales.
Outside of H2Odyssey, I try to take on as much freelance work as I can handle with a full time job and school. In addition I enjoy creating my own digital artwork as well practicing my skills as a photographer.
Please enjoy browsing through my portfolio and seeing what I've been up to!
